Spain has been a key country in the European coffee
and cacao trade for centuries. Descendants of the
Spanish conquistadors settled in Central and South
America to grow coffee and cacao, and Spanish
ships carried the beans to the ports of Bilbao and
Barcelona. Both ports were and still are
of great importance for supplying coffee and cacao to
markets in South-West Europe and the Mediterranean
region. Molenbergnatie, founded in 1847 as one of
the oldest freight handlers in the port of Antwerp
and now one of the world leaders in handling and
storage of coffee, cacao, tea, nuts and
spices, is taking a big step forward on a new and promising
“road to success,” both for itself and for you,
the customer.
We have now expanded our activities
in Spain considerably.
